Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Testing

cwb.jpg

The Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) licenses all structural welders in Canada. North American Trade Schools in Brampton & London are accredited CWB test centres. CWB testing is available onsite and must be booked in advanced.  Current welders who need to obtain or renew their CWB certification are required to bring their expiring/expired license to validate the check test.

Each process and each position is a separate test and welders must successfully pass flat, horizontal and vertical before the overhead test is valid. Test results are valid for 2 years.

Testing is available in the following processes:

  • Electric Arc Mild Steel Welding (SMAW)
  • Electric Arc Stainless Welding (SMAW)
  • MIG Welding (GMAW)
  • Flux-core Welding (FCAW)
